Paralysis Caused Agen Lady's Death - Miss SARAH M. BROOKIE Answers Final Summons - Was the Sister of H. R. Brookie, the Jackson Township Farmer

Miss SARAH M. BROOKIE, sister of H. R. Brookie, died at the family residence in Jackson township, near the county line, at 5:30 o'clock Sunday morning, after an illness of only a few days duration. Miss Brookie was stricken with paralysis while seated at the dinner table last Tuesday and despite the best efforts of physicians she gradually grew worse until death claimed her.

Miss Brookie was born in Kentucky, Nov. 24, 1823, and came to Indiana when a girl. She had resided here and in Jackson township for many years and was well and favorably known. Besides her brother there are surviving her two sisters, Mrs. Catherine LOVE, of Boone county, and Mrs. Amanda T. BYNUM, of his city.

The funeral was held Monday at 11 o'clock, services being conducted at the Sugar Creek Presbyterian church, of which she was a member, by the paster, Rev. Prentice. Interment was at the Buntin cemetery.
