PARR , Richard A. On Tuesday, December 8, 2009, Richard A. Parr, age 44 of Forest Hill. Mr. Parr served the Baltimore City Fire Department on Engine 54. He was the beloved husband of Frances E. Sliwka-Parr; devoted father of Rachel, Sophia, and Frances Parr; loving son of Charles Parr, Jr. and Peggy Parr; brother of Charles Parr III, David Parr and his wife Robin, and Deborah Parr; son-in-law of Francis, Jr., and Hedwig Sliwka; brother-in-law of Anthony Sliwka, Joseph Sliwka and wife Celeste, John Sliwka and wife Mary Rose, and Christopher Sliwka and wife Erin. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Richard's life will be honored on Friday, December 11 at the family owned Evans Funeral Chapel & Cremation Services, Bel Air, 3 Newport Drive (routes 23 and 24, Forest Hill) from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9. A mass of Christian burial will be held on the following day at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 13305 Long Green Pike, Hydes, MD 21082 beginning at 9:00 A.M. Interment to follow in Sacred Heart of Jesus Cemetery(obit said Sacred Heart of Jesus but I found grave at Sacred Heart of Mary Cemetery)in Dundalk. In lieu of flowers donations are encouraged to: PNC Bank, Benefit of the Parr Children, 2334 Rock Spring Road, Forest Hill, Maryland 21050. Memory tributes may be sent to:
