Mrs. Lura Peterson, 92, of Many, died in Many Saturday, Feb. 8, at 9:39 p.m., following an extended illness.

Mrs. Peterson is survived by three sons, Emmett L. Peterson, DeRidder, Walter Peterson, Jamestown, and Dewitt Peterson, DeRidder; five daughters, Mrs. Alice Sandel, Florien, Mrs. Nora Masters, and Mrs. Josia Stroud, both of Many, Mrs. Della Cook of Walker, and Mrs. Mae Rains, Orange, Tex.; two brothers, Coleman Dowden, Leesville, and Monroe Dowden, Zwolle; a sister, Mrs. Harriett Walker. Florien; 36 grandchildren, 81 great grandchildren, and 8 great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at the Many Church of the Nazarene, Monday, Feb. 10, at 3 p.m. Officiating were the Rev. Byron LeJeune, the Rev. C. E. Bell, and the Rev. Bill Crouch.

Burial was in the Florien Cemetery, under the direction of the Warren Meadows Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Johnson Sandel, W. F. (Petie) Peterson, Reginald Stroud, Harold Masters, Rodney Masters, and Ronnie Cook.
