John Cannon was a very religious man. Member of the Calvary Baptist church. A carpenter and builder by profession, he and wife Kate, had four children, Frank, Jack, Vivian, and EvelynAccording to his death Certificate, John Lewis Cannon, a widower, age 75, was a resident of Lufkin, where his wife had passed away on Feb. 9. He had been in Galena Park for only 11 days before taking his life. He had been a painter-decorator by trade. He was taken to Pleasant Grove Cemetery for burial beside his wife.
