Mrs. Dema May Dies
Mrs. Dema (Sharkey() May, 94, practically a lifetime resident of the Remington community died at 9 p.m. Sunday at the Remington nursing home.
Mrs. May was born in LaPorte county, the daughter of Calvin and Rebecca (McDuffy) Sharkey. During her early childhood the family moved to the Remington community. It was here that she married Samuel May who passed away in 1947.
Mrs. May was a member of the Remington Methodist church.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Earl Burling of Remington and Mrs. Charles Dirks of Michicgan City.
The funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Rushton Smith funeral home with Rev. David Barnett officiating. Interment was in Remington cemetery.
