• Enlisted July 5, 1864 Baltimore as 2nd Lieutenant
• Mustered in July 30, 1864 at Camp Bradford
• He was commissioned as 1st Lieutenant on Aug. 19, 1864 but not mustered as 1st Lt.
• Sept. 12, 1864, he requested a 5 day leave to go home to Fulton County PA because of the death of his mother (Sept. 4th) and his father being very ill.
• Mustered out Nov 6, 1864 Baltimore
He spent a short time at Old Soldier’s Home- Battle Mountain Sanitarium in Hot Springs, SD.
Admitted Aug. 8, 1914 and was discharged Sept. 25, 1914.
