Mrs. W. D. Atwood, 45 years old, died at her home in New Edinburg Wednesday night, after several days illness. She was the wife of one of the most prominent men in Southern Arkansas and was well known in this section of the state. She is survived by her husband, her mother, Mrs. M. H. Marks, of this city; five children and five sisters, Mrs. R. T. Owens and Mrs. C. J. Moore, of Little Rock; Mrs. L. B. Palmer, of Petty, Texas; Mrs. Brown, of Montana, and Mrs. W. J. Roberts, of this city. Mrs. Marks is ill in this city and will not be able to attend the funeral.
