He had lived in Shelby County since 1861. He was the grandfather of R. E. Hudson and Orville Blue of Strasburg. Also surviving were children, Harvey Blue of Stewardson; Henry Blue of Portland, Oregon; Joseph Blue of Shelbyville; Charles Blue of Rockford community; Solomon Blue of Stewardson; Mrs. Deborah Carr of Stewardson; Mrs. Clara Durst of Fairfield, IL and a half-brother in Columbus, OH, as well as 30 grandchildren and 41 great-grandchildren.
