She was born in Meriden, June 6, 1927, and raised by her mother and stepfather, the late Theresa and Michael Biamonte. She had been a parishioner of Ss. Peter and Paul Church in Wallingford, and had been an avid bowler, dancer and sports fan who loved the New York Yankees.
She is survived by her four sons, Edwin Zakrzewski Jr. and his wife Cindy of Wethersfield, Michael Zakrzewski of Meriden, Robert Zakrzewski and his wife Marie of Wallingford, and Alan Zakrzewski and his wife Elizabeth of Wallingford; her grandchildren, Steven, Thomas, Matthew, Timothy, Nicholas, Alexander, Kristen, Jeffrey and Daniel; and several nieces and nephews.
Her family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to the staff of the Regency House and Masonic Health Care Center for the compassion they showed to Mrs. Zakrzewski.
Her family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. in The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 N. Main St. Ext., Wallingford. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 9 a.m. from The Wallingford Funeral Home when the funeral cortege will proceed to Ss. Peter and Paul Church in Wallingford, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Interment will be in St. Stanislaus Cemetery in Meriden.
