Hospital, Manitowoc. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at First
Baptist Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. Bruce Huffer will officiate and burial will
be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Ahlsede was born Feb. 16, 1885, in the Town of Brussels, Door County, son of
the late William and Martha Grunwald Ahlswede. He came to Manitowoc in 1916 and
worked for Smalley Manufacturing Co. until retiring in 1952. He married Emma
Neiphaus at Manitowoc Dec. 7, 1918. She died Dec. 26, 1953. Mr. Ahlswede was a
member of the Manitowoc County Chapter of the Izaak Walton League.
Survivors include a son, Lester, and two granddaughters of Manitowoc. A brother
and a sister preceded him in death.
Friends may call at Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home, Manitowoc, until noon
Saturday and at the church until time of service.
