ELMER AHLSWEDE
Elmer Ahlswede 44, of 3416 Waldo Blvd., Manitowoc died Thursday afternoon at
Maple Crest Sanitorium, Whitelaw, where he had been a patient for the past 10
years.
Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the Pfeffer Funeral Home,
Manitowoc, the Rev. Theodore Crusius officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen
Cemetery.
Mr. Ahlswede was born Sept. 7, 1913, in the Town of Kossuth, son of Charles and
Minni Mahler Ahlswede. He moved to Manitowoc in 1917 with his parents.
He never married but was previously employed at the French Slipper Shop.
He enlisted in the army at Elgin Ill., serving in World War II from 1941 to
1943.
Survivors include his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Ahlswede, of Manitowoc. A
brother, Arthur preceded him in death in 1932.
