MRS. WILLIAM ANDERSON DIED EARLY YESTERDAY
-----
Member of Prominent Family of State-Funeral at 3:30 at Second Church.
-----
Mrs. Cora Worth Anderson, wife of Capt. William Anderson, died yesterday morning at 5:45 o'clock at her home on Queens road, Myers Park, as a result of uremic poisoning, her condition having been serious for the past three or four days, during which she was unconscious most of the time.

Mrs. Anderson was born at Burlington on April 22, 1859, the daughter of Daniel Worth and Eunice Henley Worth, her age having been nearly 63 years at the time of her death. She was a member of the prominent Worth family in this state and a distant cousin of the late Governor Worth of North Carolina.

She married Capt. William Anderson on February 8, 1882, and soon after their marriage they moved to Virginia, later moving to Greensboro, and coming to Charlotte to live about 26 years ago. Captain Anderson was registrar at Queens college for a number of years.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by six children, as follows: Mrs. Ralph Parker, of High Point, John Anderson, of Schnectady, N. Y., Capt. James Anderson, U. S. A., of Longbranch, N. Y., Mrs. Thomas McPheeters, and Misses Willie and Margaret Anderson, of this city.

Four brothers and three sisters also survive, including Edgar W. Adrian and A. S. Worth, all of Raleigh; Mrs. Thaddeus Butner, of Colorado Springs, Colo., Miss Lina E. and Miss Laura Worth, of Guilford college, and Percy Worth, of Cincinnati, Ohio.

Mrs. Anderson was descended from a long line of Quaker stock and was herself a member of the Second Presbyterian church of this city, having taken an active and interested part in the activities of the church societies. She was a woman of lovely Christian qualities and was admired and loved by a large number of friends.

Most of the out-of-town children are in the city, having come when notified of the serious illness of their mother.

The funeral services will be conducted at the Second Presbyterian church this afternoon at 3:30 o'clock, in charge of Rev. Dr. A. A. McGeachy, her pastor. Interment will be in Elmwood cemetery.

Pallbearers for the funeral will include J. P. Carr, T. W. Dixon, J. T. Porter, L. L. Surratt, J. H. Wearn, J. W. Pharr, Dr. A. J. Crowell and Dr. C. M. Strong.
