The Blair Society for Genealogical Research, Vol. 1, 1985, states that she was born January 13, 1867 in Raleigh, Tennessee.

Edward D Wall and Effie May Blair were married 28 Jun 1900 in Carthage, Jasper county, Missouri. Edward died 3 years later in 1903, possibly in Carthage, Jasper county, Missouri

Census 1910, widowed, living in home at 1228 South Maple St in Carthage, MO with father John Blair and brother Burt Blair and his wife Christine.

3 years prior to her father's death in 1925, they moved into the home of her brother Charles A. Blair at 1157 South Main Street in Carthage.
She is buried next to her husband and in the Blair family lot in Park Cemetery in Carthage, MO.

Caption underneath the photo of her reads she was the Pittenger family genealogist.

This isn't a change but an addition:
Cousin Effie spent much of her life researching the Blair family genealogy. She left copies of her research to family member & I found one at my uncle's home in 1967-taking it home just to 'look it over". Over 50 years later I am still "looking things over".
Cousin Effie never had any children but what a legacy she left.
Little did she know that the little girl she maybe met once would be the one to carry on her work. I owe it all to you Cousin Effie...bless you.

MRS. EFFIE BLAIR WALL DIES
END COMES IN LOS ANGELES AFTER LONG ILLNESS

Former Carthage Woman Was Sister of C. A. Blair
Ashes To Be Brought Here


Mrs. Effie Blair Wall, 82, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Blair, early day residents of Carthage, passed away yesterday in a Los Angeles, California hospital, according to word received by her brother, Charles A. Blair, of South Main Street.
Mrs. Wall had been in failing health five years. Her home was in Los Angeles
She was a native of Raleigh, Tennessee. From there her parents moved to Missouri and came here from Maryville when the daughter, Effie, was a young woman. Mrs. Wall was graduated from the Carthage High School and was married here to Ned Wall, son of one of the early day rectors of Grace Episcopal church.
Mr. and Mrs. Wall went to California to make their home. Following his death Mrs. Wall returned to Carthage, making this her home until the death of her father.
The body will be cremated in California following services there and the ashes sent to Carthage to be placed in the Blair lot in Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Wall also is survived by another brother, Harry W. Blair, of Washington, D.C.
