Aged 24, Died Yesterday.

Passed Away Following a Serious Operation---Funeral Services at Calvary Church at 3 O'clock Today.

Harry Atkins Shuman died yesterday at St. Peter's hospital, following a serious operation Friday morning. He was in his 24th year when the end came.
Mr. Shuman was the youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. James J. Shuman, 634 South Church street, and is the third son they have lost from the same disease. He had been a member of Calvary Methodist church since childhood.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by one brother, C. F. Shuman, and three sisters, Mrs. Blackburn and Miss Naomi Shuman, of this city, and Mrs. D. A. Bates, of Craddock, Va.
The funeral services will be conducted this afternoon at 3 o'clock at Calvary church, in charge of Rev. J. A. Sharpe, pastor, assisted by Rev. A. R. Sarratt, of Kannapolis.
Active pallbearers will include Henry Alexander, Charlie Brown, Russell Shuman, W. C. Timmons, Jr., William Kennedy, Grady Helms, Horace Dooley and Howard Beatty. Honorary pallbearers will include the Sunday school class and teachers in the Calvary Sunday School.
