Donald B. Alexander rank/duty was a First lieutenant/Engineer (B-29) in the 871st Bomber Squadron, 497th Bomber Group (Very Heavy).
He died when the plane was on his way back from the Mission, it was heavy damaged by FLAK, the plane was ditched in Sea.
