Vicki was born, the last of 5 daughters, on June 19, 1956 in Holbrook, Arizona to the late William "Howard" and Minnie (Frost) Ramsey. She was raised in Snowflake, Arizona. She was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and, as a young woman, was honored to serve a mission for The Church to the country of Taiwan. In addition to her mission, Vicki also served in many other church callings over the years.

Vicki was an extremely well-educated woman and received her R.N. (nursing) degree from Mesa Community College. Later, she received her Bachelor's and Master's Degrees from Arizona State University in Tempe, Arizona. Vicki touched the lives of countless many, and was a wonderful and caring nurse, but her passion was found in the classroom, as she loved educating and working with the youth. Vicki was known for her love of children and for her Christ-like virtues. She opened up her home to many young kids in need and, took an active part in raising some of them to adulthood.

As an educator, Vicki taught health related programs to high school students, then became a school counselor for the Gilbert School District. She then became the Director of the Mesa Schools Vocational Education Program. She was an exemplary school administrator and contributed to the success of many young adults.

Vicki was a loving daughter, sister, aunt, friend and mentor. Many have come to know her by her sweet smile, willingness to serve, and unassuming ways. She will be missed greatly.

Vicki is survived by 3 sisters: Donna Aylor, Ladon Haelbig, Evelynn Roth and by many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 1 sister, Genevieve Hammond in April of 2006.
