David Russell Reeves, 62, 2020 Scott Road, died Saturday, March 7, 1981, in a Richmond County Hospital (St. Joseph). The funeral will be held today at 3pm at Fort Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Joe Faulkner and the Rev. Peter Kendricks officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
David was a native of McDuffie County, but had lived in Augusta a number of years. He was a carpenter and a member of Carpenters Union Local 283.
He is survived by his wife, Effie M. Johnson Reeves; one daughter, Debra McDaniel, Augusta; one son, David J. Reeves, Augusta; two sisters, Janie Taylor, Dearing; and Sallie Usry, Augusta; five brothers, Jack Reeves, Atlanta; Johnny Reeves, Macon; Gene Reeves and Randall Reeves, Harlem, Ga; and Lynn J. Reeves, Dearing.

Pallbearers will be H H Holliman, Alex Phillips, Bruce Waller, Olin Slater, Stan Langham, and Alvin Neal.
Curtis Funeral Home, Thomson Ga. in charge.
