Colman [Coleman] Kidd, age 76, passed away at his home in the New Hope Community Monday morning at 9:20 o'clock.
He was born at Murchison and had lived in Henderson County all his life. He was a retired farmer.
Survivors include his wife, eight sons and five daughters. The sons are: Paul Kidd, Benicia, California, Holland Kidd, Brownsboro; Elton Kidd, Chandler; Neal Kidd, Benicia, California; Jack Kidd, Benicia, California; Verdon Kidd, Brownsboro; Bill Kidd, Benicia, California; and Buster Kidd, Dallas. His daughters are: Mrs. Eva [Era] Welch, Chandler; Mrs. Evalee Mormon, Athens; Mrs. Johnnie Olson, Brownsboro; Mrs. Juanita Hardwick, Slagle, Louisiana, and Mrs. Louise Gideon, Dallas.
A brother, E.P. Kidd of Brownsboro; two sisters, Mrs. Guy Clayton, Live Oak, California and Mrs. Lola Clayton, Chandler; forty-four grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services will be held this afternoon at 2:00 o'clock from the Rock Hill Church, with the Rev. C. N. Tunnel officiating.
Mr. Kidd's grandsons will act as pallbearers.
Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
