Postal Employee Dies in Accident On Newport Road
A hit-skip auto death and scores of traffic accidents were reported as a heavy midnight rain gave Greater Cincinnati a damp and slippery New Year. Sleet and snow will probably hit this section late Thursday.

Mr. Vulhop, who lived at 3 Baum street, Woodlawn, Newport, was found lying in front of 1107 Waterworks road, Newort, shortly after midnight. He died while being carried into Speers Memorial Hospital.
Police studied Mr. Vulhop's injuries and theorized he may have been knocked down by one auto and hit by a following car. There are no clues to the identity of the drivers.
