John Keith Halstead, 54, of Given passed away Wednesday, March 17, 2010, at his home. He was born July 3, 1955, at Boone County, a son of the late John Halstead and Geneva Hager Halstead Kinley. He was a coal miner. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Carter Halstead; daughters Jill Way of Leon, and Sara and Erin Halstead, both of Given; brother Teddy Halstead of West Virginia; sisters Connie Hatcher of Fairplain and Shiril Ann Talbott; step-mother Freda Halstead of Ripley; and grandchildren Anthony Way and Lexy Sayre.
