North Ogden – Our beloved husband and father, Orson Dawson Hennefer, passed away peacefully at home on October 1, 2010 at the age of 91.

He was born January 7, 1919 in Henefer, Utah, the youngest son of Heber Charles Hennefer and Jessie Thursa Dawson.

He served in the 734th Antiaircraft Artillery Battalion during World War II in South American, the Philippines and New Guinea.

He married Edna Jane Montgomery on May 27, 1955.

He retired from Hill Air Force Base where he worked as a jet engine mechanic for 20 years. He enjoyed camping, telling stories, hunting, and fishing with family and friends. He also enjoyed riding his horses, prospecting and geology. Everyone loved it when Dad would sing Glenn Miller songs.

He is survived by his wife, Edna; and his two sons, Kirk O. (Sharilyn) Hennefer and Corey D. (Nancy) Hennefer.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Heber Lehi Hennefer.

We will miss Dad dearly. The family would like to thank the caregivers and Advocate Hospice for their love and kindness.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 7th at 1 p.m. at Myers Ogden Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd. Friends may call at Myers Wednesday evening from 6 to 7:30 p.m. and Thursday from 12:15 to 12:45 p.m. Interment, Ogden City Cemetery.
