A farmer by trade, he was raised in Huron Co., Michigan. He was the fourth of 6 children, the first born in the United States. He and his older brother, William Thomas Hambleton spent one winter in the upper peninsula of Michigan working in a lumber camp. He was more fondly known as "Jack." He was predeceased by his parents and 2 infant brothers. Jack was the father of 4 sons and one daughter. My father whas his oldest son, Miles Morgan Hambleton.
