She was born Sept. 14, 1918 in Dunkirk, the daughter of the late Anthony and Josephine (Floramo) Covatta.
Michalina retired from SUNY Fredonia where she worked as a secretary in the business office; she also worked in several local businesses and as a real estate agent. As an entrepreneur she provided classes in art instruction, operated a local dating service and sold Mary Kay Cosmetics. She had a passion for the arts, Spiritualism, the Blessed Virgin Mary and her flower garden.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Anthony D. Arcoraci, who died Dec. 25, 1994; two sisters, Frances Rose Goss, who died June 7 2009, Marie C. Scaglione, who died Sept. 22, 2009 and her oldest son, Anthony J. Arcoraci, who died Oct. 22, 2009. She is survived by sons, Eugene F. Arcoraci of Coventry, RI; and Nelson H. (Linda) Arcoraci of Shrewsbury, MA. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
