Janice A. Hawkins, 43, of Plant City, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, January 8, 2006.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Faye Harvill.
She is survived by her loving husband, Jeff Hawkins; two sons: Ryan and Kyle Hawkins; her father, L.J. Harvill; one sister, Susan Spindola and husband, Hector; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Richard and Bobbi Claville; her brothers-in-law, Allen and Jason Hawkins, and Kevin Hawkins and his wife, Susan; one granddaughter, Rhea Barnette; and her many cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
She was born April 6, 1962 in Lakeland. She graduated from Providence Christian School in 1980 and from Hillsborough Community College, where she received her Associate of Science Degree in administrative business, and was a member of Phi Beta Kappa.
She worked for over 20 years as a legal secretary in Plant City and more recently was a real estate agent for Century 21.
She was a member of Evangelical Presbyterian Church of Plant City.
She was a loving, caring wife, a sweet mother, grandmother and sister, and a friend to everyone. She will leave a void that can never be filled.
She loved angels of all types and collected them, and now is with them in heaven. We all will now await a big happy reunion one day together in heaven.
Her mother, Faye, passed away six weeks ago; they were involved with LifePath Hospice House and were trying to get a hospice in the Plant City area.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, January 12, 2006, at Hopewell Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. John Damron officiating. Internment will follow in Hopewell Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends for visitation 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, at the funeral home. Flowers will be accepted or donations can be made to LifePath Hospice.
