Son of William and Hannah Dyer. He married Thankful/Thankfull Hopkins Jan 22 1729/30 in Truro, Barnstable Co., MA, who was the granddaughter/great-granddaughter of Mayflower passengers Giles Hopkins and his father Steven Hopkins.

His birth date/place/parents are in Truro VR, p.4 and marriage on p.22. He is also listed in the Mayflower Society 5 generation book, Vol 6 Steven Hopkins.

On his wife's headstone, her name is spelled Thankfull, his name is spelled Ambros two times, "wife of Ambros Dyer" and "Also in memory of Reuben Dyer, son of Ambros Dyer."

There is no stone listed for Ambros/Ambrose in Old North Cemetery in the book "Truro Cemeteries" published by the Rich Family Association in 2000, nor is a headstone listed for him in any of the other Truro Cemeteries. On a personal note, I wasn't able to find a headstone for him in the Old North Cemetery in the vicinity of his family's headstones. He did die in Truro, according to the Reverend Jude Damon's records. The Reverend served the Truro church from 1786-1828 and kept a meticulous record of deaths for that period.
