William W. McAtee, 48, of 5260 Florek Road, Edinboro, died Wednesday, July 16, 1997, at his residence.

He was born in Erie on Nov. 4, 1948, the son of Loma Jean Lewis McAtee and the late Francis WILSON McAtee.

He had been employed as a finish carpenter for residential housing and was a graduate of General McLean High School. he served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War, from December 1968 to November 19709.

Survivors include his wife of 14 years, Sally McAtee, three sons, Shawn, Chad and Jeremy, all of Edinboro; a step-daughter, Kristin, of New York; four brothers, James McAtee of Wisconsin, Frank McAtee of Edinboro, Lawrence McAtee of Utah and his wife Debbie and Edward McAtee of Meadville and his wife Regina; four sisters, Mrs. Richard (Margaret) Shorts, Mrs. David (Kathleen) Patterson, Mrs. Edward (Gina) Tinko, all of Edinboro, and Mr.s Gary (LaDora) Flood, of Ohio; and a granddaughter, Samantha.

Friends will be received at the Harry D. Glunt Funeral Home, 210 Erie Street, Edinboro, on Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. A memorial Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of the Lake Church on Saturday at 10 a.m.

Burial will be at Lewis Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Lewis Cemetery in care of the Glunt Funeral Home.
