He was born the son of Omer C. and Alma (Wolford) Postle on Dec. 4, 1925 in Muir, Michigan.
Ivan Postle was a World War II vet serving in the U.S. Marines and he was discharged at the rank of corporal.
He married Eleanor Winslow on March 6, 1948 in Covington, Kentucky.
Surviving his Wife of 53 years, Eleanor; 2 Sons, Douglas (Mary)Postle and Dude (Sharon) Postle both of Ionia; his Grandchildren, Tina and Greg Wolbers, Ty Possehn, Kristine and Christopher Boggs, Amber and Jessica Postle;
Great-Grandchildren, Ryan and Ashlei Postle, Andrew J. Boggs, C.J. and Carter Wolbers;
1 brother, Leo (Ilene) Postle of Ionia; and 1 sister, Alma Jane (Richard) Davis of Florida.
He was preceded in death by his Daughter, Bianca Possehn;
1 brother, Clare; and 2 sisters, Lillie and Fern.
Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m., Friday from the Cook Funeral Home in Ionia with Rev. Kenneth Harger of the Shiloh Community Church officiating.
There will be no visitation.
Interment of ashes will be in the Sunset Memorial Gardens in Ionia.
