Daughter of the late Grady Leon Black & Eula Leaphart Black, she was a homemaker and former nurses aide at the Saluda Nursing Center. She was also a member of the Bible Believers Congregational Holiness Church.

Also survived by three sons, Wilson Havird, Dwight Havird, & Randolph Havird, all of Batesburg; two daughters, Linda (Mike) Owens of Saluda, & Margie Rodgers of Baesburg; sister, Ruby Keisler of Lexington; brother,Grady "Jack" Black of Saluda, and four grandchildren.
Interment followed funeral services conducted at the Bible Believers Congregational Holiness Church on Friday, September 11, 2009; Rev. David Cockrell presided.
