Lawrence Hutchings, 28, brother of G. Earl Hutchings of Graham, was a member of a pioneer family. He attended and finished high school in Olney in 1925. He was an employee of the Texas Company in the sales department.

Mr. Hutchings was a member of the Baptist Church. At the age of eight years, he made the first donation to the building fund of the present Baptist Church in the amount of $1.00.

Services were held at the First Baptist Church in Olney with Rev. W.H. Townsend officiating.

Survived by his wife; one six-year-old daughter; his parents; two brothers - Earl of Graham and Ray of Olney; three sisters - Mrs. W.M. Wood, Mrs. C.C. Etheridge, Mrs. Sidney Hunt, all of Olney.
