Harriet M. Holt (went by Hattie) was one of two known children and Darrel D. Holt (1814-1868) and Elizabeth E. Bowden (1816-1893), who married 27 Nov 1835 at Maury County, Tennessee.
Hattie married Dr. Robert Gordon Rothrock (1837-1902) on 05 Apr 1866 at Marshall County, Tennessee. Hattie and Robert were the parents of four known children, namely:
1. Mary Ella Rothrock Armstrong (1868-1964)
2. Margaret Annie Rothrock (1870-1877)
3. Robert Gordon Rothrock Jr. (1875-1949)
4. Edgar Holt Rothrock (1877-1936)
In 1870 the parents and first two children were living at the 17th District, Giles County, Tennessee with Robert listed as a Doctor. In 1880 the parents, Mary, Robert and Edgar were living at Nashville, Davidson County, Tennessee along with Elizabeth Holt (b. c1823 in TN, sic), mother of Harriet. Later Robert was known to be a physician at Nashville, Tennessee. None of their four children had issue. In 1900 the parents, Robert Jr., Edgar and a daughter? (Elizabeth?, born 1883??, very hard to read; or was she Mary?) were living at Nashville, Davidson County, Tennessee with Robert listed as a Doctor. Harriet said she was the mother of four, three living. A C.A. Holt (born Dec 1835 in Florida) was living with them.
