Richard Alexander Cook was born Sepember 12, 1858 in Queenstown, Canada, and he died in Detroit, Michigan on Friday, February 24, 1929 at the home of his nephew, Archie Cook at the age of 85 years five months and 11 days.
On July 31, 1893 he was married at Marshall to Mnnnie B. Mott. Five Children were born to this union and hey all survive, they being, Mrs. Homer Pinkston of Arnold, Nebraska, Oscar Mott of Hays, Kansas, Mrs. Edmund Brummett of Willow, California, Mrs. Carl Vian of Eddysville, Nebraska and Carl Cook of Gandy.
Mrs. Cook died on July 24, 1926.
Mr. Cook and his family moved in 1900 to Oconto, Nebraska. In 1910, the moved to Arnold, Nebraska,where he since lived. At the time of his death he was visiting nephew.
Funeral service sere held On Tuesday, at 1p.m. February 28, 1929 at the Baptist Church, with the Rev. H. I. Jack in charge.
Interment was in the cemetery at Arnold
