Service for Margaret Bailey Griffith, 76, 909 Albert, are pending with Denton Funeral Home following her death today.
She was born in Philadelphia, Pa., where she grew up. She married Art Griffith in New York City on Jan. 28, 1932, and they moved to Carlsbad in 1941.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, and Sewing Club. Her interests included reading, handwork, sports and travel.
She is survived by her husband, Arthur R., of Carlsbad; one daughter, Gail Griffith Saavedra, Albuquerque; and three grandchildren.

Services for Margaret Bailey Griffith, 76, 909 Albert St., will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at First United Methodist Church with burial to follow in Carlsbad Cemetery. The Rev. Ross Dunn, First United Methodist Church, will officiate.
Pallbearers will be Lynn Richards, L.B. Worley, Bill Huffsmith, Dan Apple, Stanley Partin and K.M. Davis.
