Gladys Merle Levy Adams, of Apopka, FL, passed away on Friday, October 1, 2010 at the age of 85 years. She was born November 3, 1924 in Lakeland, FL and moved to Apopka in 1959. Gladys was a homemaker, loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a member of the Church of God in Apopka. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward in 1976.



Gladys is remembered by her daughter, Frances (Daryl) Haigwood of Apopka; sons, Samuel C. (Sandra) Adams of Apopka, Byron D. (Suzanne) Adams of Apopka, Anthony W. (Terry) Adams of Apopka and step-son, Ronald Winston (Dorothy) Adams of Orlando; sisters, Norma Gregg and Vivian Carroll, both of Lakeland; as well as 9 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.



In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the National Kidney Foundation, 1040 Woodcock Road, Ste. 119, Orlando, FL 32803-3510.



Friends are invited to gather for viewing on Tuesday, October 5, 2010 from 11:30 am – 1:30 pm with a funeral ceremony starting at 1:30 pm in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at Lakeside Memory Gardens in Eustis. Arrangements are entrusted to Hamlin & Hilbish Funeral Directors, Eustis, FL, 352-357-4193.
