NORTHPORT | "Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28). Embracing this Blessed Assurance, Rita Wynell (Nell) Brewer has gone to be with her Lord and Savior.

She is the loving wife of BJB, and the devoted mother of L. B., and A. M.(D). She is the doting grandmother of A.B. (L.); K. C.(C); A. T.; J.T.; M.B.; A.M.; C.T.; and T.M.

Of seven cherished brothers and sisters, she is survived by E M.S. (T). She is aunt to twenty nieces and nephews.

Serving her Lord faithfully at Indian Lake Baptist Church, her warm smile and strong faith has been a testament to those around her.

Visitation will be at Indian Lake Baptist Church on Saturday, December 9, 2006 from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be at Indian Lake Baptist Church on Sunday, December 10, 2006 at 2:30 p.m. The service will be officiated by her grandson, Rev. Adam Brewer, and her pastor, Rev. Albert Lyles.

Pallbearers will be Tommy Lancaster, Jimmy Skelton, J.P. Mabry, Ronnie Williamson, Jay Brewer, Ed Williamson, Steven Brewer, Charles Cochran, Justin Tu, Marc Brewer, Austin McClure, and Tyler McClure. Honorary pallbearers are Dr. Shelby Sanford, Dr. Craig Buettner, Dr. Mohammad Azam, the neighbors of Eleanor Street, Friends and Family of Indian Lake Baptist Church, and all those who loved her.

The Family wishes to express their appreciation to Hospice of West Alabama and to the nurses, staff and volunteers of Hospice for their loving care, kindness and support.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Hospice of West Alabama. The family also asks that you remember the words of Christ that are so dear to them, "My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness." (2 Corinthians 12:9).
