Lois L. Fox, 88 of Moulton passed away Thursday, September 30, 2010 at Centerville Nursing & Rehab.
Lois was born on October 7, 1921 to Lloyd & Velta Davis in Moulton. She was raised in Moulton with her nine brothers and sisters. She attended Center Country Schools north of Moulton and continued her education at Centerville Schools graduating in 1937. She received her Teaching Degree from Iowa Wesleyan College. Lois married Neal Fox on February 27, 1943 in Lancaster, Missouri. He preceded her in death on September 7, 1989.
Lois was a homemaker and enjoyed quilting and singing. She was a member of the Moulton Christian Church, the Country Pickers that went to nursing homes to entertain residents and was a rural school teacher before she married Neal.
Lois is survived by three children; Joyce Trull(Darrell)of Kansas City, MO., Jack Fox(Carolyn)of Warsaw, MO., Julie Hurt of Chariton, Iowa, 11 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, three sisters; Doris Wilson of Moravia, Vera White of Winterset, Lucille Bird(Frank)of Moulton and two brothers; Leland Davis(Cora Mae)of Moulton and Max Davis of Centerville, brother in law Jack Fowler(Jeanne)of Unionville, Iowa and sister in law Joan Davis of Moulton. She was preceded in death by two brothers; Don & Roland Davis and two sisters, Leora Whisler and Eileen Fowler and one grandson, Todd Webber.
Funeral service will be 11am, Monday October 4, 2010 at Thomas Funeral Home. Visitation will be Sunday from 1-7pm with the family present from 5-7pm. Memorials may be given to Moulton First Responders or Moulton Christian Church.
