Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Essie (McLeod) Word; a daughter, Mrs. Rachel Blackmore of Tucson, Arizona; sisters, Mrs. Jewel Baxter of Clovis, New Mexico and Mrs. Ira Rice of Oklahoma City; brothers, O.C. Word of Sacramento, California and Sebe T. Word of Elk City, Oklahoma, three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
