St. Clair - Bernard E. Distelrath, 71, died Thursday, June 27, 1991, in River District Hospital.
He was born April 22, 1920, in St Clair He married Rosemary Umlauf Aug. 30, 1952, in Detroit.
Mr. Distelrath retired as a hospital engineer from Providence Hospital in 1982, where he had worked for 25 years. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Curch, ST. Clair and a 4th degree of K. of C. with the Mount Clemens Council. He was a member of the Detroit Builders Association, the Association of Hospital Engineers, the Michigan Railroad Club and the Antique Engine Club.
He is survived by his wife; a sister, Justine Campbell of Royal Oak; sisters-in-law, Margaret Dietlin of Marine, Anna Marie Kronner of Fraser and Mary Umlauf of St. Clair; many nieces, seven nephews and great nieces, seven nephews and great-nieces and great nephews.
He was preceded in death by brothers, Don and Ray and a sister, Joyce Schneider.
A funeral Mass will be 10 A.M. Monday in St. Mary's Catholic Church in St Clair The Rev. Edward Ritter, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
Visiting is 6 to 9 P.M. today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. Sunday in the L. C. Friederichs and Son Funeral Home in St Clair A rosary will be said 2:30 P.M. Sunday.
Memorials may be made to the Heart Association.
