Oliver Edward Aune, 98, Fergus Falls, died Tuesday, March 30, 2004, at the Broen Memorial Home of Fergus Falls.

He was born Aug. 16, 1905, in Sverdrup Township,
Otter Tail County, to Olaf and Inga (Bjornaas) Aune. He was baptized in his parent's home and confirmed at Aurdal Lutheran Church of rural Underwood. He attended rural school District No. 12 in Aurdal Township.
After schooling, he was a lifetime farmer in Aurdal and Sverdrup Townships. He was a lifetime member of Otter Tail County Historical Society and Sons, of Norway. He. was also a member of Aurdal Lutheran Church, rural Underwood, served as Sverdrup Township clerk for eight years and was a director of the Farmers Mercantile of Underwood. His hobbies included reading, archeology, and collecting prehistoric rocks, Indian artifacts and various etchings.

He is survived by several cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Albert and Clarence; and two sisters, Ella and Alma Aune.

Visitation : Thursday at 2 to 4 p.m. at Olson Funeral home and one hour prior to the service at the church

Service: 11 a.m. Friday at Aurdal Lutheran Church, rural Underwood
