Linda K. Murray, 56, of Dover, died October 1, 2010, at her home surrounded by her family and loved ones. She was the loving wife of Hugh C. Murray. The couple celebrated 39 years of marriage on July 3, 2010.

She was born October 15, 1953, in Hanover, a daughter of Dorothy R. (Reynolds) Altland of Dover and the late Ray E. Altland.

In addition to her husband and mother, Linda is survived by two sons, Chad E. Murray of Collegeville, and Jason S. Murray and his wife, Alyson of East York; two grandchildren, Elaina and Easton Murray; a sister, Patricia M. Leathery of East Berlin; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Linda was a 1971 graduate of York Vo-Tech. She worked as a rural mail carrier for the West York and Dover Post Offices. Linda attended Church of the Open Door and was a former member of Dover United Church of Christ. She volunteered a lot of her time with various organizations in the York area. Linda enjoyed gardening, crafts, and collecting antiques. She was an excellent cook and baker.

Burial will follow in St. Paul's Red Run Cemetery, East Berlin.
