Mariam McGee
Mrs. Mariam McGEE, 1601 Jefferson street, died Thursday at 5:23 p.m. in Mayo's Clinic, Rochester, Minn., where she had been admitted Monday. Death came following an extended illness.
Born Sept. 24, 1908, at Akron, she was the daughter of Charles and Anna MORGAN BARNHISEL and had spent her lifetime in this county. Her marriage was to Harley "Spud" McGEE, owner of the Rochester Building Service in Chicago in 1929. [sic]
Mrs. McGee was a member of the Manitou Garden club and of the Rochester Rotarianns.
Besides the husband, she is survived by a son, Robert [McGEE], Rochester; a daughter, Mrs. Dennis (Marcia) WERTZBERGER, Greenwood; a sister, Mrs. Arvel (Trella) ANDERSON, Earltons, Kan., and five grandchildren.
Last rites will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Zimmerman Brothers funeral home with the Rev. Graham MARSH officiating. Burial will be in the Rochester I.O.O.F. cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 1 p.m. Saturday.
