Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Zimmerman Family Funeral Home, Rochester, for former Rochester resident Johnny A. EASTER, Punta Gorda, Fla.
The Rev. Bruce APPLEGATE will officiate and burial will be in the Rochester I.O.O.F. Cemetery, with military graveside rites by the Rochester American Legion and VFW. Friends may call from 3-8 p.m. Tuesday and after 10 a.m. Wednesday. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Mr. Easter died at 6:22 a.m. Thursday at his home. He was born in Aberdeen, Miss., to James Edwin and Lilliebelle CAIN EASTER. He moved from Rochester to Punta Gorda 12 years ago. On Sept. 27, 1947 in Rochester he married Pauline DARR, who survives. He was a former real property officer at Grissom Air Force Base. He was also a retired Realtor and tax accountant. He was a member of the Punta Gorda First Christian Church and the Punta Gorda Elks Lodge. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, serving in the South Pacific.
Surviving with his wife are two daughters, Mrs. Paul (Marilyn) KIESLING, Punta Gorda, and Marquitta McLOCHLIN, Rochester; four grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandson; a sister, Mrs. Harry (Joyce) LEE, Paris, Tenn., and three brothers, Roy [EASTER], Louisville, Ky.; James [EASTER], Columbus, Miss., and Garland [EASTER], Indianapolis. Preceding in death were a grandson and a brother.
