Edgar Schofield Taken By Death
RONAN - Edgar A. Schofield , 85, resident of Livingston, died Thursday at a rest home in Anaconda following an extended illness.
Mr. Schofield was born July 7, 1872 at Griswold, Iowa. He moved to Ronan from Spokane in 1919. He farmed at Ronan until 1930 when he went to work for the government and was employed on several hydro-electric projects. He left Ronan in 1946 to make his home with a daughter and son in law, Mr and Mrs. H. H. Cole. He was a stationary engineer by occupation.
He was a Spanish American War veteran and a charter member of Ronan Lodge #131, AF & AM.
He was married to Hutoka Wilson of Clinton, MO., May 28, 1902, at Atlantic, Iowa. She died at Ronan in 1945.
Mr Schofield is survived by a daughter. Mrs. Cole; two sons, Bernard and James, all of Missoula; three grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren; two sisters Mrs. Alice C Lltner, Winfield, Kan.; and Mrs. J. C Stewart, Omaha Nebraska and a brother , Ralph Billings.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 10am in the Shrided Chapel with Roman Lodge 131, AF & AM, conducting service Burial will be in the family plot.in Montain View Cemetery under the direction of the Shrider Mortuary. The Missouilian, Missoula, Montana 28, Jun 1958, Sat. p. 7.
