Sultana Lendon Fouse Clear, daughter of Enus and Clarity Fouse, was born November 22, 1865 and departed this life December 18, 1937, at the age of 72 years and 26 days. She was of a family of 9 children, all but four having preceded her to the great beyond. Surviving are Mrs. Sally Burk, Mrs. Ward Coates, Mrs. Charles Hyatt, and Henry Fouse. She was married to Mr. Hesekiah Clear on February 12, 1879. To this union 13 children were born, six children having preceded her, 7 left to mourn her passing, Mrs, Anciel Brubbs of Lynn, Indiana, Mrs. Mable Snyder, Mrs. Sam Siderius, Mrs. Gilbert Snyler,
Mrs. Alvin Slack of Otsego, two sons, Harley Clear of Otsego and Claud Clear of Alexandria, Ind. On April 2, 1934, her companion passed away. She was a loving mother and will be greatly missed by her children, grandchildren, and also by her neighbors. Funeral services were conducted at Benson's Funeral Home December 20 at 2 o'clock. Interment was in Mountian Home Cemetery.
