Crossville Chronicle May 28, 1953

Henry Franklin Wightman, son of Mark and Betty Wightman of Pleasant Hill, died at Cumberland Medical Center May 23, 1953.  He grew up in Pleasant Hill, attended the Academy there and later married Annie Whittenberg, daughter of Mr and Mrs Bass Whittenberg.
Their children are: Betty Jane, John Henry, Amos Clifford, Dorothy Isoline, Jerry Thomas, James Alfred, Michael David, Joseph Allen, Charles Edward, Judy Carol, Donald Ray, Robert Eugene and Stephen Paul. His youngest son will soon be walking.
From the papers of the late Dr Douglas Graham of Boston, brother of the late Mrs Amos Wightman, we have names and dates of Henry's ancestry unbroken back to the year 1272, the birth of Sir William Wallace, hero of Scotland.
Crossville Chronicle May 28, 1953

The previous winters were very cold, and in Henry's work as an electrician these extreme temperatures took a heavy toll.
Henry served 1944-1949 at the POW Camp at Pomona.  Before and after that time, he was with the Volunteer Electric Coop.
