Woodstock Sentinal-Review, Tuesday, November 21, 1916 Windfall - Our community has been saddened by the deaths of two of our highly esteemed ladies namely, Mrs. Abraham Strickler and Mrs. John MacKenzie, both deaths occuring early Sunday morning after many weeks of serious illness. Mrs. Strickler leaves to mourn a sorrowing husband, one daughter, Mrs. Leonard Duncan, and five sons, Samuel and John, living on nearby farms, Albert, Arthur and Abraham at home. The deceased was stricken with pneumonia several weeks ago and her system was unable to throw off the malady. For the past two weeks she has hovered between life and death, her many friends, faithful nurse and medical attendants doing all in their power to prolong life. She will be greatly missed in the home and church and also in the Ladies Aid, of which she was the oldest member, and the first to die since its organization four years ago. The funeral will be held on Tuesday, to the Evangelical Church for service, thus tothe 10th conc. Cemetary for interment. The family has the sympathy of all in their bereavement."
