On Friday, October 9, 2009 at her home. Natalie Thompson Sanks Vaughn, mother of Judith Vaughn Lopez and her husband, Andre' M. Lopez. She is also survived by nieces, Marilyn S. Ramsey, Joyce Owens and Patricia Brown; a sister-in-law, Virginia Sanks; a step-grandson, Donavan A. Ham, great nieces, great nephews, cousins and a host of other relatives and friends. Friends may call at the Roberts Memorial UMC Church 606A South Washington Street, Alexandria, VA, Friday, October 16, 2009 from 6 until 9 p.m., where funeral services will be held Saturday, October 17 at 10:30 a.m. Rev. Dr. Patricia Jones officiating. Interment in National Memorial Park, Falls Church, VA. The family suggests contributions in her memory to Project Discovery-Alexandria for the Natalie Sanks Vaughn Scholarship.
