Gladys Marie Morgan, age 87, died December 2, 2003 at Bev and Karen's home in Lexington, KY. Born August 5, 1916 in Cameron, Texas, Marie was the eldest daughter of Lillie Inez Moses and Jessie Lee Davenport. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Grady Morgan and is survived by daughter, Beverly June Futrell (Karen Jones) of Lexington, daughter Brenda Carol Koepke (Tommy) of Mason, Texas and son George Terry Morgan (Rene) of Houston, Texas. She was also preceded in death by three brothers and is survived by a sister, Joyce Lorene Lanford of Baytown, Texas and a sister-in-law, Kathryn Davenport of Lufkin, Texas. Marie was a loving grandmother to six grandchildren, Robert Jason Futrell (Susan), Stacy Renee Spiller (Kevin), Michael Brandon Taylor (Jennifer), Christopher George Morgan, Kristy Adair (Wesley) and Kellie Morvant; and three step-grandchildren, Karl, Kris, and Kimberly. She has also been blessed by three great grandchildren, Jordan Lee Taylor, Tobie Lynn Taylor and Benjamin Morgan Futrell; and six step-great grandchildren. Marie held dear in her heart all her friends, "my girls and guys" she had in Kentucky. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, December 5, 2003 at 4:00 pm at the Unitarian Universalist Church on Clays Mill Road in Lexington. The family will take Marie's ashes back to Texas in the Spring to be interred next to her husband in Milano, Texas. Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Bluegrass. Arrangements by W.R. Milward Mortuary-Broadway Service scheduled for Sunday, December 7, 2003
