Mrs. Hicks was born in Dawson County, Jan. 5, 1903, a daughter of the late Nelson and Martha Chester Bearden. She was a member of the Union Grove Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her husband, Narvie Hicks on Dec. 4, 1975 and by a son Lloyd Hicks; also a grandson, Keith Hicks on june 12, 1977.
Mrs. Hicks is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Jeanelle Dean of Adairsville; three sons, Emory Hicks, Lonzo Hicks and Willie Hicks, all of Adairsville; two brothers Wheeler Bearden of Macon, and Orion Bearden of Adairsville; grandchildren, Jerry Hicks, Michael Hicks, Bruce Hicks, Sandy Hicks and Joann Dean.
Pallbearers: Terry McDougle, D.B. Goodnight, Harold Pasley, Jerry Bearden, Billy Bearden and Herschel Greeson.
