Ernest C. Brandt Passes Away at Home Near Hingham
Death came today to Ernest Carl Brandt, one of the original Hingham area pioneers, who died at his home about three miles west of Hingham.
Services are to be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Hingham Lutheran Church, at which Mr. Brandt was a member. Interment will be at the Rudyard community cemetery.
Mr. Brandt was born May 27, 1889 in Elizabeth, Ill., coming to Montana from there in 1910. He was married at Rudyard June 25, 1913, to Hertha Krueger, who survives.
Three sons, Irven and Robert of Hingham and Wilmer, Scales Mound, Ill., also survive, a fourth son, Loren, preceding him in death by five years. Two sisters, Mrs. Minnie Dotzel and Mrs. Elizabeth Hoppe, and a brother Charles Brandt, all make their home in Elizabeth, III., while another brother, Henry, lives at Dundee, Ill. There are three surviving grandchildren.
