Autopsy Considered

An autopsy was being considered Tuesday to determine cause of death of Beth Barton. 32, 306 E. 3rd South. The woman was pronounced dead on arrival at Salt Lake General hospital where she was taken after falling while alighting from a taxi at the Salt Lake public library. 15 S. State Tuesday at 1:20 p.m.

Utility Bus Strikes
S. L. Pedestrian

Beth Barton, 26, 459 W. 53rd South, suffered bruises and a possible back injury Saturday at 11:26 a. m. when she was struck by a Salt Lake City lines utility bus at 1st South and State st.

Jack A. Woodbury, 26, 231 Concord st., driver of the bus, told police accident investigators that he was just starting up after letting out passengers at State st. when the woman darted into his path. Miss Barton was taken by police ambulance to L D S hospital.

MURRAY—Funeral services for Beth Barton, 31, 450 W. 5300 South, will be conducted Saturday at 1 p.m. in Murray Second ward chapel. Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. 5050 S. 2nd West, by Heber Marlon Day, bishop.

Miss Barton, an active member of her ward, died Tuesday about 1:50 p.m.

Friends may call at 4760 S. State Friday from 6 to 8:30 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to time of services. Burial will be in Murray City cemetery.

She was born July 7, 1919, in Frisco, Beaver county, a daughter of Glen and Emily Lewis Barton, and had been a Murray resident for about 20 years.

Miss Barton was graduated from Murray high school in May 1937, and was a member of Salt Lake Young Women's Christian Assn. In 1949 she was a junior Sunday school teacher in her ward.

Survivors include her parents, Murray; grandfather, Alma Barton, Murray; three brothers, Glen Lee Barton, Clearfield; Max K. Barton, Cedar City, and George Cleo Concardo, Kan.

July 7 in the Salt Lake LDS hospital there was a farewell party for Miss Beth Barton, who has been a nurses' aid and has enlisted in the WACS. July 7 was also her birthday, and she will be in the hospital corps in the army.
